    General Information

The Erciyes Express runs every day between Kayseri-Adana-Kayseri and completes the Kayseri-Adana route in 5 hours 32 minutes and the route between Adana and Kayseri in 5 hours 51 minutes.

    Main Stopping Points

Kayseri is the gateway to Cappadocia. The moonscaped region of Cappadocia, southeast of Ankara, is most famous for its unique geological features called fairy chimneys. The large, cone-like formations were created over time by erosion of the relatively soft volcanic ash around them. Past cultures have dug into them to create dwellings, castles (like Uçhisar) and even entire underground cities like Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu.

Known as Nahita to the Hittites Niğde was on the main trade route from Anatolia to the Mediterranean and harbours the remains of ancient civilizations and natural beauties.

The town of Ulukışla lies in a valley between the Medetsiz and Bolkar ranges of the Taurus Mountains, throughout history an important crossing from the Mediterranean to the plains of Konya and other parts of central Anatolia. This is a mountainous district and minerals including gold, silver, lead, coal and limestone have been mined here over the centuries.

The town is the at the highlands of Çukurova and is the major gateway to the Mediterranean coasts. Pozantı stands in the foothills, at the bottom of a rare pass through these high mountains.

Set in the heart of the Çukurova (Cilician) Plain, Türkiye's fourth largest city Adana has a history that goes back as far as the 7th millennium BCE. The numerous civilizations that occupied and dominated the land left layers of archaeological treasures, clues for the region's complex past. While history buffs can enjoy exploring the ruins of ancient cities, nature-lovers can relax in the cool, clean air on the slopes and plateaus of the Taurus Mountains.
